DIESEL BOBS POWER UPGRADES
(ALSO KNOWN AS FUEL REMAPPING UNITS OR TUNING BOXES)

Our fuel remapping units are available in various types ('Plug in' or 'solder) and each injection system.
The working principle of the units is similar. The principle is to remap the fuel delivery to the engine increasing power, torque and remove 'dead' or 'flat' spots.

Though there are many similar devices on the market non have been developed to the high standard as ours. Many other devices on the market increase fuel delivery at ALL engine speeds above idle which is bad news for economy and smoke emissions. Ours ONLY increase fuel delivery when it’s required for instance when overtaking and when engine in under load, i.e. Towing.

All our power upgrades are 100% electronic using cutting edge technology they do not use inferior old fashioned rubber hose systems, all the devices are also suitable when non fossil fuels are used.

PLEASE READ Unlike our competitors we offer more than one power upgrade option for most vehicles. When more than one power upgrade is listed it means you have a choice as to which unit you can use. Review each option to see which device best suits your requirements. Where a choice of power upgrades exists the power/torque increase is the same no matter which option is used. The only differences are the quality of device or fitting procedure. It may be worth making a note of the options you can use so you can review each one. The power upgrades we supply are 'rolling road/dynometer' free!

This means that non of our power upgrades need to be set up with rolling road or dynometer.

Unlike many other devices/systems on the market that deliver measly power gains that can only be seen on a graph or screen, ours deliver an increase that can be felt from the drivers seat, no questions, no doubts!

UPGRADE INJECTORS

Another method of SAFELY increasing power from a diesel engine is the use of upgrade injectors.
Over the years we have developed out own upgrade injectors. These injectors use special nozzles, break pressures and in some cases, springs.

Upgrading the injectors is only of real benefit when combined with power upgrades* as the standard fuel settings fail to utilise the potential of the upgraded injectors. Power gains vary but an extra 5-20% power/torque is possible, the VW engines seeing the highest gains. In most cases we require your original injectors to upgrade, costs vary according to application but we do offer a discount when one of our power upgrades is purchased and this discount will stand for the future should you only wish to purchase the power upgrade at the time.

* - Ford Transit 2.5DI and many industrial/agricultural engines can use our upgrade injectors without fuelling adjustments.

WHEN TO UPGRADE

We feel it is our duty to advise fitting of our power upgrades only when the vehicle has covered at least 5000 miles, this allows the engine to ‘bed in’ to a sufficient degree. The diesel engine, if serviced correctly, will last many hundreds of thousands even millions of miles and because our upgrades are subtle in there methods we confidently recommend them for high mileage vehicles.
We do advise that the engine is in sound mechanical condition before fitting a power upgrade and that servicing is adhered to once the upgrade is fitted.
